Virtual Trader™

One of the most difficult aspects of being an independent trader is isolation from other traders and the need for some community and feedback. Sometimes you just need a little help, some trade ideas or some professional advice. Enter Virtual Trader™. Now you can trade with the pros from RED Option and thinkorswim without ever having to roam far from your desktop or laptop.

We have two trading sessions per month and we kick each day off with trading as soon as the bell rings. When the day begins, our traders will post trades, breaking down all the details to help you understand the ins and outs. There is also an opportunity for you to submit questions anytime throughout the day, and those questions will all be answered by one of our traders through streaming commentary. But none of this would be complete without audio commentary to discuss the trades, the current market behavior and maybe even what the thinkorswim office is eating for lunch!

We invite you to participate in the trades along with us if you like, although you are also welcome to sit back and watch if you are just getting your feet wet. But for those of you who are ready to dive in, you will be asked to set up your thinkorswim account for trading several days prior to the session. You can either choose to dedicate a total dollar amount for the day by choosing our model portfolio, or you can choose an allocation on a trade by trade basis during the session.

We understand that everyone may not be able to be logged in to a Virtual Trader™ session throughout the morning, but you can still participate in all the day’s activity. And at the end of the day, you can log in to view the transcripts and read about the day’s trading and commentary. As a free service, we monitor each position placed through every Virtual Trader™ session and send out adjustment and closing recommendations via email. You can even choose to have those recommendations executed for you in your thinkorswim account.
