Kinder Morgan KMI (news,
chart,
quote) - KMI implied volatility indicated low risk Prior to Buyout Proposal
KMI, a North American pipeline operator, received a $100 proposal from KMI's top management to take the North American oil and gas pipeline private in a $13.5 billion deal. WCHV say's "competing offer unlikely, in our view." WCHV goes on to say "Without Rich Kinder's endorsement, a competing bid is untenable and unlikely, in our view." KMI over all option implied volatility of 18 was at the low end of its 26-week range, indicating low price fluctuations.
