MOS, a producer & marketer of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients, is recently down $5.92 to $99.48. The USDA 2008 Prospective Planting report based on farmer surveys indicate farmers intend to plant 86 mn of corn down 8% from 94 mn in 2007. Goldman Sachs say's "The decline in corn acreage will negatively impact nitrogen producers, although the increase in wheat and other smaller crops will partially offset the shortfall in corn."
