quote) - VMW put volatility at 71 as shares near post-IPO low
VMW, a provider of virtualization solutions, is recently down 99c to $43.54. Deutsche Bank say's "reducing estimates; On weaker Enterprise spending." EMC owns 82% of VMW. INTC has a 2.5% position; CSCO has a 1.6% position in VMW. VMW April call option implied volatility is at 58, puts are at 71 according to Track Data. VMW puts are priced higher than calls because VMW is difficult to borrow.
