Medimmune MEDI (news,
chart,
quote) - MEDI option implied volatility of 36 is above average
MEDI develops products for the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, immune systems disorders and cancer. Investor are waiting for FDA action on the relaunch of Flumist in the 2nd half of 2007, the filing of Numax (lower respiratory tract disease treatment) and Carl Icahn movement; a owner of 2.8 million MEDI shares. MEDI rejected a shareholder proposal to sell itself on 2/16/07. MEDI over all option implied volatility of 36 is above its 6-month average of 33 according to Track Data, indicating larger price fluctuations.
