At Red Option, we're all about trading options. It's in our blood. We take what we do very seriously, but we're not opposed to having fun (a lot of it) in the process. We're pretty much convinced that education is the key to success, so we teach as we trade. Oh, and don't worry, if you're not into options and you prefer some good ol' fashioned stock trading, we do that too.
Who Are We?
Red Option is an affiliate of thinkorswim Advisors, Inc., a registered investment advisory with the Securities and Exchange Commission. thinkorswim Advisors, Inc. and thinkorswim, Inc., Member SIPC|FINRA, are both members of the thinkorswim Group.
What Do We Do?
Red Option is an advisory service that caters to the retail investor. That would probably be you, unless you have a wad of cash stashed in a mattress at your summer home in the Hamptons. We provide trade recommendations to you via email. You pick the strategy you want to trade, and we send you trades specific to that strategy. 2 trades per month, to be exact. The email is chock-full of information so you not only know what we are doing, but why. But that’s not it. Every time we adjust or close a position, we send you another email with all the details you need. We also have some pretty nifty classes, free daily market commentary, stellar customer service and a big red stuffed dog named Ponsie.
What's Our Philosophy?
Simple. Trade option strategies in a risk-defined manner and remain market neutral while collecting premium. Adjust when the market moves. Don’t get greedy. Stay conservative and don’t swing for the fences. It’s all about consistency my friends. That’s the key.
Who Runs This Ship?
Scott Snyder, our Chief Strategist (and fearless leader), began at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in 1980. During his 23-year career, Scott traded in every pit at the CBOE, earning a reputation as one of the finest and most complete market makers in the industry. He gained extensive experience spanning equity and index options and corporate and index arbitrage. Scott even owned a DPM (specialist) in the Amazon (AMZN) pit… which includes such stocks as AMZN, NSM, AIG and WCOM. Scott left the CBOE in 2003 to start RED Option. He hasn’t looked back since.

We aren't really into job titles around these parts. We all wear a number of hats and pitch in when there's work to be done (and there's always work to be done). But just in case you still want to know who's on the other end of that phone or email, we've got all the details below:
